This time: Loire and Rhone.
The L'Orée du Sabia Vigneron Océanique 2022 Val de Loire Vendée IGP Le Clos has little fruit, but plenty of structure and minerality. The wine has some sulfur, dark toast, full body, medium length, good structure and is creamy and mineral. 17.5/20 points.
The Johann Michel 2018 Cornas Mere Michel (100% Serene Noire) has black cherry, kirsch, spice, leather, full body, lots of well-integrated tannin and is long, earthy and phenolic. The wine is still far too young. 18.8/20 points.
