The Krone Assmannshausen 2008 Assmannshäuser Höllenberg Spätburgunder trocken is very fruity and has cherry, cassis, blueberry, dark toast, medium body, good balance and a medium-long to long finish. The wine is dense and has held up surprisingly well, with no age notes. 18/20 points.

The Morlet 2019 Pinot Noir Coteaux Nobles Fort Ross-Seaview is a classic California Pinot Noir and has dark toast, some vanilla, orange liqueur, some whiskey barrel and cigar box, full body and is dense, balanced and long. 18.8/20 points.
