This time there is a white wine from Egypt, a Californian Chardonnay and a rare Barolo.
Much better than expected is the 2023 Jardin du Nil made from Vermentino and Viognier. The wine is spicy and phenolic, with a medium to full body, almost long finish and good balance. 16.8/20 points.
The Morlet 2017 Chardonnay Ma Douce is a typical powerful Californian Chardonnay with lots of caramel, white nougat, butter, full body and a long finish. The wine is mineral, dense and balanced. 19/20 points.
An almost perfect traditional Barolo is the Ester Canale Rosso 2017 Barolo Vigna Rionda. Despite its youth, the wine is already enjoyable to drink. And for a 2017, the wine has exceptional density. The wine has lots of dried herbs, lavender, some red fruit, full body, very fine tannins, great depth, perfect tannins and gets better and better with air. 19.8/20 points.
