Today we have some more Barolo 2021 and an amazing Veuve Clicquot Grande Dame from 2008.

The Veuve Clicquot 2008 La Grande Dame has lots of blossoms, lime, medium to full body, structure and density and is balanced, precise and mineral. This clearly distinguishes the style from the old vintages such as 1990. 19/20 points.

The Domenico Clerico 2021 Barolo Ciabot Mentin is already fun to drink with its very fine tannins, but it has a lot of potential. The wine is clearly recognizable as a Barolo and has red fruits, blackberry, licorice, full body, structure and is fresh and long. Decant without fail. 19/20 points.

The Domenico Clerico 2021 Barolo Bricotto is somewhat less polished and more of a storage wine. The wine has bacon, cherry liqueur, Amarena, powdered sugar, full body, lots of tannin, balance and a medium-long finish. The wine still needs time. 18.5/20 points.
