There is a rarity from Switzerland, a mature Californian wine, and a Bordeaux.
Malanser Completer is a rarity, grown on only a few hectares, and is a long-lasting wine, similar to white Rioja, but without the floor wax notes. The Adolf Boner 1998 Malanser Completer is made from 100-year-old ungrafted vines and was bottled in October 2003. The wine is fresh and shows no signs of age. It has a complex nose with gingerbread, herbs, spices, plum, full body, good structure, and balance. It is somewhat reminiscent of an orange wine (although it is light gold) without the off-notes. At least 18.3/20 points, or more for those who like wines with character.
The Kenwood 1984 Cabernet Sauvignon Artist Series is already fully mature, but still very enjoyable. The wine has a slight horsey note at first and needs air, then it becomes slightly sweet (age-induced sweetness) with some cassis notes. The wine is full-bodied, medium-long to long finish and well-balanced. 17/20 points.
The Château Poujeaux 2015 Moulis is already perfectly drinkable. However, it needs some time in the decanter, as it has a slightly chemical note and walnut at first. With air, cassis and blackberry come to the fore. The wine has medium to full body, good balance, medium length and gets better and better with air. 17.5/20 points.
