We try Château Petrus 1934 Pomerol and Marques de Riscal 1925 Riserva.
The Château Petrus 1934 Pomerol AC is only a half bottle, but the wine still needs plenty of air and then gets better and better. The wine has a very complex nose with wax, sweet notes, blossoms, cigar box, some cognac, caramel, bacon, medium body and is balanced, elegant and long. 19/20 points.
The Marques de Riscal 1925 Riserva has a very slight potato sack aroma, but is still an amazing and great wine that seems much younger. The wine has blossoms, red fruits, medium body, still some tannin and is balanced, dense, long, complex and fresh. It seems amazingly young. 18.5/20 points.
