Here are some older wines.
The Popp 1959 Iphöfer Kronsberg Silvaner is from a vintage of the century, but we never expected this wine to age so well. With its golden color, the wine already appears significantly younger and has spruce, pine needles, myrrh, cake dough, blossoms, medium to full body, a slight residual sweetness, and is long and balanced. The wine needs some time in the decanter. 18.3/20 points.
The Château Musar 1999 is reminiscent of southern France. The wine has plaka, rosehip, raspberry, medium body, medium length, and is balanced. It should be decanted and improves with air. 18/20 points.
The Federico Paternina 1947 Gran Reserva from a perfect bottle has herbs, raspberry, rosehip, full body, good structure, still tannin, and is expressive, fresh, and complex. 19.8/20 points.
