2001 was a vintage of the century in Sauternes, and this wine shows it: The Château Rieussec 2001 Sauternes 1er Cru Classe is complex and has enormous power and still has potential. The wine has floor wax, blossoms, honey, burnt caramel, apricot, black tea, full body, lots of sweetness, power, and balance. 19.3/20 points.
