The wine is light-footed and one of the best Spätlese wines Egon Müller has produced. 19.5/20 points.

The Witwe Dr. Thanisch 2015 Bernkasteler Doctor Riesling Spätlese doesn't quite have the perfect balance and complexity of the Egon Müller, but it compensates with more power and density. The wine offers aromas of apricot, peach, and honey, a medium to full body, and is complex, balanced, mineral, and spicy. 19/20 points.
