Brachetto is a rare, indigenous grape variety in Piedmonte from which only a few wines are produced, mostly frizzante with residual sugar (Brachetto d'Acqui) or as a passito (Brachetto Passito). Only Scarpa produces a serious dry Brachetto. One of the best examples of Brachetto d'Acqui comes from Braida (Giacomo Bologna).
The Braida 2022 Brachetto d'Acqui has intense aromas of wild strawberries and wild raspberries. The wine is fruity, balanced, and has a pleasant sweetness, medium carbonation, medium length, and is a perfect summer wine with only 5.5% ABV. 17.5/20 points.
