This time: the top sparkling wine from Raumland, two Sauvignon Blanc from the New World and a Cote Rotie from Guigal.

The Raumland 2009 MonRose Extra Brut was disgorged in March 2021, giving it more than 120 months of yeast aging. The sparkling wine has flowers, some honey, floor wax, medium body, a slight residual sweetness and is very balanced and creamy. 18.3/20 points.

The Diemersdal 2019 Sauvignon Blanc M. M. Louw is expressive with lots of elder wood and cassis. It has full body, a medium to long finish and is very phenolic. 18.3/20 points.

The Cliff Lede 2017 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc is an elegant understatement wine with gooseberry, cassis, full body and a long finish. It is minerally, balanced and very dense. The wine still needs time and has potential. 18.0/20 points.

The entire Guigal range is high quality. If it's going to be Cote Rotie, it doesn't always have to be the LaLas: The Guigal 2012 Cote Rotie Château D'Ampuis starts almost like a Cabernet with cassis and red bell pepper. The wine needs air and becomes increasingly spicy with full body, structure and an acidic freshness. 18.3/20 points.
