This time we have two Barolo from Conterno-Fantino from the 2019 vintage and as a reference the Sandrone 2019 Barolo Le Vigne.

The Conterno-Fantino 2019 Barolo Mosconi Vigna Ped is modern, very fruity and expressive with lots of cherry, strawberry, herbs and full body. The wine has plenty of polished tannins, lots of fruit, a medium-long finish and is already drinking well. 18.3/20 points.

The Sandrone 2019 Barolo Le Vigne, on the other hand, is somewhat restrained, but with plenty of potential for many decades. The wine has herbs, full body, good balance, polished tannins and density. The next bottle should only be opened in a few years. 18.8/20 points.

The Conterno-Fantino 2019 Barolo Sori Ginestra has density and power and is the most complete wine of this round. The wine has licorice, dark fruit, full body, a long finish, great structure, lots of polished tannin, plenty of phenolics, complexity and depth. 19/20 points.
