The North Rhone is always an interesting wine region.

The Franck Balthazar 2017 Cornas Chaillot is a typical Syrah from the North Rhone with elderberries, liquorice, blackberry, coffee, black olives, a full-body, lots of tannin, balance and black pepper on the long finish. It is far too young with its tannin but you can notice the great potential. Give it some time. 18/20 points.
