NEW: Praise and blame of corked wines

The weather is currently very hot, so what is better than a fresh Riesling?

We taste one classic Dunn Howell Mountain, vintage 1996, and a great Spätburgunder from Zehnthof-Luckert

We are tasting the two flagship Silvaners from Zehnthof Luckert.

Let's taste some great wines at a birthday party.

Wow, now there are great Champagnes, Chardonnays and a Romirasco.

Here are some older wines.

This time we are tasting a white wine from Italy and three wines from Franconia.

This time we have Silvaner and sparkling wine from Franken (Franconia), as well as a great Auslese from Rheinhessen.

There are Frühburgunder and Pinot Noir.

It is boring to always drink only German wines with the top grape varieties Riesling and Pinot Noir. Therefore, this time we have Silvaner and Weissburgunder (=Pinot Blanc).

The wine of the evening was the 1967 Monte Real Blanco Reserva Semidulce, but we also had a great Champagne and three great reds.

Some German producers are now so good that they are a real alternative for Burgundy.
