This sparkling has a light perlage and smells strongly of honey, blossoms, some sherry and a bit of old cask. The Moncuit 2008 Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc Brut is a classic champagne with lots of fine perlage and fragrance of blossoms, nuts and yeast. It has a medium-body, balance, a medium to long finish, complexity, mineral and a freshness with some apple notes, and a beginning maturity for drinking. 18.5/20 points.
