The wine has blossoms, especially violets, blueberries, a good structure with ripe tannin and a medium to long finish. The wine should be drunk immediately. You should not save any leftover for the next day. 17.8/20 points.

The La Spinetta 2001 Barbaresco Starderi is from a more classic vintage and has the perfect maturity now. The wine has moss, violets, blueberries, licorice, a perfect structure with a lot of ripe tannin, a full-body, a long finish and a light sweetness. 18.8/20 points.

The Gaja 2016 Barolo Dagromis has walnut, moss, underbrush, some tar, medium to full body, medium amount of fine tannin, perfect balance and structure, long finish and a slight sweetness. The wine needs air and has potential to increase over the next years. 18/20 points.
