Hildegard seems to be a Chardonnay, but it is not. As a comparison, a great Chardonnay from Aubert.
The Au Bon Climat 2014 Hildegard is made from Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Aligoté, but tastes like a Chardonnay. Perfectly ripe now, the wine has herbs, vanilla, full body, a long finish and is balanced and elegant. And the bottle is quickly empty. 18.8/20 points.
The Aubert 2014 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard still seems young and has potential. The wine now has lots of barrique with dark toast, mocha, full body, balance, density, lots of extract and a long finish. 18.8/20 points with potential for more.
