A friend donated two interesting bottles.

The Vincent Vial 1929 Chateauneuf du Pape with 6.0cm ullage starts with animalic aromas and mushrooms. The wine needs plenty of air, the aromas then change to blackberry and raspberry with plenty of age sweetness. The wine is very dense and balanced with medium long finish and still some tannin. This is a great experience! 18.5/20 points.

The Giacomo Borgogno 1945 Barolo Riserva must be decanted and has spices, tar, rosehip, herbs, a full body, character and complexity. For an old Barolo, the wine even has an extraordinary amount of finesse. 18.8/20 points.
