The Roagna 2018 Derthona Montemarzino clearly stands out from all the other Timorasso. It is particularly salty-mineral with iodine and lots of phenolic notes, a full body, medium to long finish and high density. It is elegant but has little fruit. 18.3/20 points.

The Luigi Baudana 2019 Barolo Baudana has an extremely opulent nose with rose petals, violets, cassis, raspberry and a full body, lots of glycerin, plenty of medium-fine tannin and some acidity. It's not as elegant as the 2016, but has power, density and lots of potential. 18.8/20 points.
