Who & Why

Find out who we are and why we do this: About us

Today we have Roeder Cristal, Dom Perignon, Pontet Canet and Weinert Malbec Estrella.

The Roederer 2008 Cristal is a sensational champagne. The last bottle seemed more mature and had more brioche, this time the bottle is more youthful and has blossoms, lime, medium body, fine mousse and is creamy, long, dense, mineral, juicy and fresh. 19.5/20 points.

The Moet & Chandon 2008 Dom Perignon Legacy Edition Chef de Cave is fun to drink now due to its share of reserve wines and has brioche, woodruff, medium body and is mineral, precise, juicy, fresh, but unfortunately also very slightly lactic. 19.3/20 points.

The Château Pontet-Canet 2009 Pauillac Cinquième Grand Cru is a very modern Bordeaux with little cassis, blackberry, black fruits, full body and is balanced and long. 18.5/20 points.

The Weinert 1977 Malbec Estrella from Argentina is very ripe, but still an impressive power wine that shows what is possible with Malbec. The wine has passito notes, plum, dried fruit, full body and is long and dense. 17.5/20 points.
