Who & Why

Find out who we are and why we do this: About us

There is the best of Moscato d'Asti and a recent vintage of Barbaresco Sori Paitin. Moscato d'Asti has low alcohol, usually between 4.5% and 5.5% ABV, and lots of fruit and freshness. Perfect in summer on the terrace!

The Ca' D'Gal 2023 Moscato d'Asti Lumine is a very good Moscato and serves as our reference here. The wine has only 5% ABV, a medium perlage, blossoms, nutmeg, apricot, lime, a medium body, a nice balanced sweetness and a medium-long finish. 16.8/20 points.

The Ca' D'Gal 2016 Moscato d'Asti Vite Vecchia is the most expensive Moscato we have ever bought. The wine also has only 5% ABV and shines with its complexity and minerality. On the nose there are blossoms, quince, herbs and dried apricots, the wine has a medium to full body and is dense, mineral, balanced, fresh, long and complex. The bottle is empty as soon as it is opened. 18.8/20 points.

The Paolo Saracco 2023 Moscato d'Asti Autunno is one of the best. The wine has blossoms, nutmeg, lime, medium body, light sweetness and is fresh, fruity, dense and long. 18/20 points.

2020 is a great vintage for fruity and accessible Nebbiolo. Nevertheless, the wines have enough tannin and structure for a long life. The Paitin 2020 Barbaresco Sori Paitin is one of them and has blossoms, cherry, blackberry, full body, balance, medium-long to long finish, plenty of polished tannin and enough structure. 18.3/20 points.
