Who & Why

I was forewarned, but I am too curious and want to try demi-sec champagne.

The Moet & Chandon Nectar Imperial has a distinct sweetness, but tastes like a 20-year-old Pinot Blanc Beerenaslese with mainly nutty aromas. The champagne is balanced and tastes very ripe. 13/20 points.

The Moet & Chandon Ice Imperial also has a distinct sweetness, but tastes fresher than the Nectar Imperial. However, the body is also light here and the champagne has hardly any aromas. 13.5/20 points.

Perhaps there are better examples of demi-sec champagnes, but so far I can't see why you need non-dry champagnes.
