Domenico Clerico 1996 Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra and 2010 Barolo Ciabot Mentin. The 2010 is also from the Ginestra vineyard although it is not mentioned on the label anymore.

The Domenico Clerico 1996 Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra starts with plaka, moss, undergrowth, tar and gets black tea with aeration. It has full-body, melted tannin and slight sweetness. The wine has complexity and a perfect ripeness. 18.8/20 points.

The Domenico Clerico 2010 Barolo Ciabot Mentin has herbs, liquorice, tar, a full-body, a lot of tannin, medium long finish and a good structure. It is very young and has a lot of potential, so it will need a lot of time to reach its peak. Now 18.8/20 points and most probably more in the future.
