Who & Why

Find out who we are and why we do this: About us

For a birthday, you have to open great wines.

Today we have 3 great Chardonnay from California and Burgundy.

The new Kistler Chardonnays 2020 from the mailing list just arrived.  Both wines can be drunk now. But cellaring will reward more complexity and finesse.

We have two 1964 wines, a Barolo and a Bordeaux, as well as the 1994 Orion Old Vines and a fantastic sweet wine experience.

2011 was the first year we imported Kistler via the mailing list.

Once again, brilliant wines from California and additionally a Mosel Spätlese.

Hildegard seems to be a Chardonnay, but it is not. As a comparison, a great Chardonnay from Aubert.

This time: the top sparkling wine from Raumland, two Sauvignon Blanc from the New World and a Cote Rotie from Guigal.

It is time again to open some high quality sample bottles.

Let's have a long evening with wines from different countries.

The HDV (The Hyde & De Villaine Families) 2017 Napa Valley Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard is a joint venture of the Hyde and the Villaine families.

This time the evening brought a surprisingly fresh Assyrtiko, a large Gräfenberg and sensational Californians.

Here we have Boekenhoutskloof The Journeyman and Shafer Hillside Select.

Now we have various wines, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from California, a Barbaresco and a modern Ribera del Duero.

We are tasting Grand Siecle, Bricco del Drago, Ürziger Würzgarten and a fantastic sweet wine from Martinelli.

Here we have a mixture of Rhone, Mosel, Rheinhessen and California.

In addition to Riesling from Rheinhessen and three Californian wines, this time we have Ygrec and Petrus.

The wines of Flowers are hard to find in Europe. So I bought my bottles 10 years ago in an auction. Now we drink my last bottle.

This was an evening of great wines.

Martinelli is one of the top producers of Zinfandel. As a friend of Zinfandel, you shouldn't miss these wines. These wines are hard to find in Europe, so purchasing them from the mailing list is recommended.

Our wines from the Kongsggard mailing list have just arrived.

Since the wine tasting in Paris in 1976, it has been clear that sensational Chardonnays come from California.

Two great red wines saved the long evening, Paolo Scavino 1995 Barolo Rocche dell‘Annunziata and Occidental 2016 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir Cuvée Elizabeth.

This time we have two Chardonnays from California and Germany and two Rieslings from Germany.

Our wines from the Kistler mailling list have just arrived. And we taste a surprising Greek wine.

The Kistler Pinot Noir was imported by us using the mailing list.

The white wines are from California, Rhone and Mosel. We brought the Nebbiolos back from our Piedmont short trip.

We had a great evening with Argiolas Turriga and Kongsgaard Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.

This time we have Pinot Noir, Barolo and Portwine.

During the blind tasting it appears to be three California wines. But one is from Bordeaux.

Three great wines for dinner in ascending order.
